Acceptance of These Terms
Using this site means you accept these terms — that's how it works for any website, not just Beltman's.
These Terms & Conditions apply to every visitor and customer of beltman.co.in, whether you're browsing product pages, reading the Journal, or placing an order. If you don't agree with any part of them, please don't use the site or place an order. Placing an order confirms your acceptance of these terms as they stand at the time of that order, not a later version that might apply by the time it's delivered.
EntityAbout Beltman
Beltman is a pure leather belt and wallet brand, based and made in Kolkata, West Bengal.
Beltman is owned and operated by Sudipta Das, operating a store at Shop No. A-235, 2nd Floor, City Centre 2, Rajarhat, and a workshop and office at 18, 1, Jessore Rd, Rathtala, Barasat, Kolkata 700124, West Bengal.
EligibilityWho Can Use This Site
You need to be able to enter into a valid contract to place an order — in practice, that means being 18 or older.
Under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, a valid contract requires the person entering it to be of the age of majority, which in India is 18. By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or that a parent or guardian is placing the order on your behalf and taking responsibility for it. This isn't a formality we expect to enforce aggressively — it's simply what makes the purchase a valid, binding contract in the first place.
CatalogProducts, Pricing & Availability
Prices shown are in Indian Rupees and inclusive of applicable taxes, unless stated otherwise.
We make a genuine effort to describe every belt and wallet accurately — material, color, and size options — but leather is a natural material, and minor variation in grain or tone between what you see on screen and what arrives is normal, not a defect. (→ 5 Ways to Tell Pure Leather from Fake Leather) Product photography is taken to represent the item as closely as possible, though screen calibration can shift color slightly, which is a limitation of photography rather than the product itself. Prices and product availability can change without prior notice, though any price change will never apply retroactively to an order you've already placed and had confirmed. Your GST-compliant invoice will be provided with your order, showing the tax breakup separately.
CheckoutOrders & Payment
Placing an order is an offer to buy — it's confirmed only once we accept it.
An order you place is an offer to purchase, and the contract is formed only when we confirm and dispatch it, not the moment you complete checkout. This gap matters mainly for edge cases — an item going out of stock between you adding it to cart and completing payment, for instance — rather than in the ordinary course of things. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout; if Cash on Delivery is offered, its specific terms are covered in our (→ Shipping Policy). We reserve the right to cancel and fully refund an order in cases of a pricing error, suspected fraud, or a product genuinely being out of stock — this is a narrow, good-faith exception, not a way to walk away from confirmed orders casually, and we'll always tell you why if it happens.
Made to MeasureCustom-Sized Belts
A belt trimmed to your exact waist size is made specifically for you, which affects how returns work.
Where you request a custom waist size, your belt is cut and finished to that measurement after you order — it isn't picked from ready stock the way a standard size is. This means a custom-sized belt can't simply go back on the shelf for someone else the way a standard-size item can, since the length has already been committed to your specific measurement. It doesn't remove your rights under our (→ Returns & Refunds) policy — a defective or wrong item is still a defective or wrong item regardless of sizing — but the practical process for a change-of-mind return on a custom item can differ from a standard one, so please check that policy specifically if you're ordering a custom size and think you might need to return it later.
LogisticsShipping & Delivery
Shipping terms, timelines, and charges are covered fully in our (→ Shipping Policy), which forms part of these Terms & Conditions by reference.
ResolutionsReturns, Exchanges & Cancellations
Return, exchange, and cancellation terms are covered fully in our (→ Returns & Refunds) policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions by reference.
CopyrightIntellectual Property
The Beltman name, logo, and website content belong to Beltman — copying them isn't permitted.
The "Beltman" name, "The Signature of a Gentleman" tagline, logo, and all text, product photography, and design on beltman.co.in are the property of Beltman and protected under applicable Indian intellectual property law. You're welcome to browse, share links to, and purchase from the site, but you may not copy, reproduce, or reuse our content, photography, or branding for your own commercial purposes without written permission — this includes using our product photos to sell on another platform.
GuidelinesAcceptable Use
Use the site the way it's meant to be used — to browse and buy belts and wallets.
You agree not to use beltman.co.in to attempt fraudulent transactions, scrape or copy site content at scale, interfere with the site's security or normal operation, or impersonate another person when placing an order. We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel an order, or restrict access to the site for anyone who violates these terms, without that decision needing to be justified in advance.
ProtectionLimitation of Liability
We're liable for what we actually sold you going wrong — not for unrelated or indirect losses.
To the extent permitted by law, Beltman's liability for any issue with an order is limited to the value of that order — a refund, replacement, or repair, rather than open-ended compensation for indirect or consequential loss such as lost time or unrelated expenses. This is standard practice for a retail purchase and reflects the actual scale of the transaction, not an attempt to avoid responsibility for genuine product issues. Nothing in this section limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 that cannot lawfully be excluded by contract — where the two conflict, your statutory rights take precedence.
MaterialsProduct Disclaimer
Full-grain leather is a natural material, and it behaves like one.
Genuine full-grain leather will show natural grain variation between individual belts, may darken slightly with age and sun exposure, and can absorb some moisture if not cared for — none of this is a manufacturing defect, and it's part of what distinguishes real leather from a uniform synthetic material in the first place. (→ How to Care for Your Leather Belt So It Lasts 10+ Years) covers how to keep it looking its best for years rather than months.
JurisdictionGoverning Law, Jurisdiction & Dispute Resolution
Indian law governs these terms. If something goes wrong, you keep your full right to approach a consumer forum — Beltman does not require you to go through private arbitration instead.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. For any dispute, we ask that you contact us directly first, through our Grievance Officer below, so we have a genuine chance to resolve it without escalation. If that doesn't resolve things, you retain your full statutory right to file a complaint with the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission — under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, this can typically be the commission local to where you live, not only where Beltman is based — or to pursue the matter before the courts of competent jurisdiction in Kolkata, West Bengal. Beltman does not require or impose mandatory arbitration as a condition of using this site: Indian courts, including the Supreme Court, have consistently held that a business cannot use its own terms to remove a consumer's right to approach a consumer forum, and arbitration remains available only if you, the consumer, choose it.

Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms occasionally — the version in force is the one live on the site at the time of your order.
Continuing to use beltman.co.in after an update means you accept the revised terms. We'd encourage checking this page periodically, particularly before a large order.
Q&AFrequently Asked Questions
No. You always retain the right to approach a Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission — Beltman's terms don't and legally can't remove that right.
Yes, or have a parent or guardian place the order on your behalf, since a valid purchase contract under Indian law requires the buyer to be of legal age.
Only in narrow cases — a pricing error, suspected fraud, or genuine stock unavailability — and always with a full refund.
The practical return process can differ slightly since it's made specifically to your measurement — see our Returns & Refunds policy for the specifics.
Beltman owns the site's name, logo, and content; it isn't available for others to copy or reuse commercially.
Through the courts of Kolkata, West Bengal for general legal matters, or through your local Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission for consumer complaints specifically — whichever applies to your situation.
